Spotlight On: Leadership By Example

Awarded To: Phyllis Scott

Nominated By: Shannon Whillock

Nomination: Over the past few weeks, Phyllis has been a part of some new customer setup for Tempassist and VerusArt. Phyllis did a great job making sure all of the bases were covered for the needs of Credit, including quickly getting up and walking down the hall or calling remote team members to be sure she understood every need to properly server her internal and external customer. In the process, when she saw there were team members with questions about other areas, she didn't wait for someone else to figure it out because it didn't relate to Credit - she took the initiative to figure out who they needed to be connected with and helped them get closer to a solution. Thanks Phyllis!

Spotlight On: Customer Always Comes First

Awarded To: Joe Petta and Mark Nichols

Nominated By: Janet Rethman

Nomination: As most people are aware, Louisiana was hit hard with major floording in mid-August. Multiple residents lost their homes and businesses. The majority of our customers were able to stay in their homes and their businesses however, they were still affeted by the impact it made to the entire region.

Mark Nichols spear-headed the organization out of the Houston branch to ensure customers could continue operating their businesses with as little impact as possible. Knowing that "two heads are better than one," Mark reached out to not only the Operations team but also Sales and Credit to develop a strategy to ensure these customers knew their situation and were creating a plan to get them what they needed.

In true "Customer Always Comes First" fashion, Joe Petta played a huge part in providing input for this extraordinary event by ensuring customers were kept informed as well as going above and beyond to load up his personal vehicle and make deliveries.

Spotlight On: Excellence in Products and Services

Awarded To: David Green

Nominated By: John King, Business Development Manager

Nomination: David has been working on various IT projects for Global Fulfillment. He has demonstrated two very critical assets to the GF team. 1. His work quality and speed is exceptional. 2. He is flexible in dealing with time sensitive needs to satisfy our LJ management and our customers.

David helped drive to completion the automation of order entry for orders received by our customers into our AS 400. This saved nearly 18 hours/week of workload for our team that entered these orders, one at a time, manually. His sensitivity to the daily demands of the team was extremely helpful. His respect for fellow team members was noted by all concerned.

Spotlight On: Leadership By Example

Awarded To: Alan Stevens, Sales Representative

Nominated By: Jennifer Harlan

Nomination: We've been fortunate to have a steady stream of new team members joining our team these past several months. An integral part of the training process for new team members is to visit with some of our customers and to work with a sales rep in the field. This helps our team members better understand our customers' needs and how we partner and consult with them to help them grow their business.

Alan has been called upon, almost weekly, over the past several months to host a new (and in many cases, an existing) team member as he works his customer rotation. Alan has graciously accepted this challenge and always makes himself available to lead the way and help a fellow team member.

Nominated By: Jim McCoy

Nomination: Shawn and Jerimiah's due diligence and management of our Lakeland fleet and service records was the key to saving the company from paying $20,000 to replace and engine in one of our vehicles. Spotlight On: Leadership By Example

Awarded To: Mark Marschke

Nominated By: Ginger Hartford

Nomination: I believe all 19 attendees of his QBQ Lunch & Learn at the ASC really appreciated that Mark took the time and initiative to invest in our company, team and culture by bringing this information to the team. Mark really believes "we're all in this together" and that we can impact everyone around us by asking, "What Can I Do?" then proved it by his own actions. It was great to see an Executive Leader so genuinely host a fun, engaging session that inspired all and built trust. Well done!

Spotlight On: Excellence in Products and Services

Awarded To: Steve LeBlanc (BAL), Jeff Lewandoswki (BOS), Steven Lucas (BOS) and John Johnson (NYC)

Nominated By: George Walmsley

Nomination: The NYC facility was due to receive a large transfer truck on Thursday, April 21st. The branch was over capacity on box storage and needed additional space. With little notice, these 4 team members went above and beyond and relocated over 300 mouldings to add the much needed box capacity. They performed this monumental task in just two days and executed it flawlessly! Thank you Steve, Jeff, Steven and John for showing us what ONE TEAM is all about!
